The club also donated $700 from its annual Pickleball Tournament to Corky's Cupboard, raised $3,440 through its Grocery Grab fundraiser for BloomHouse Youth Services, and contributed more than $1,000 to PolioPlus, Rotary International's effort to eradicate polio worldwide.
Rotary members contributed more than $6,100 to The Rotary Foundation, helping fund humanitarian projects worldwide while also supporting local District Grant opportunities.
Investing in future leaders remained a priority as the club sponsored four area high school students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) conference.
The club also completed its Little Lyons District Grant Project, painting a United States map on the playground, and is currently partnering with Imaginarium to create a hands-on engineering exhibit through its 2025-2026 District Grant project.
"Rotary's impact is made possible by members who are passionate about serving others," Immediate Past President, Karly Witte said. "Whether supporting local families, developing young leaders, or helping eradicate polio, we're proud to make a difference in Emporia and beyond."
Additional charitable gifts during the fiscal year supported organizations including House of Morrow's Diverse Voices initiative, United Way of the Flint Hills, the Emporia Community Foundation's Match Day, the Emporia High School Choir, Emporia Recreation Commission youth sports programs, and other community organizations working to improve quality of life throughout the area.
