Garin Higgins is in the midst of his 12th season as head football coach at Emporia State University. His teams have played NCAA post-season games in three of the past five years. He is now the second winningest football coach at ESU. With 17 seniors on this year's team out of 119 total players, they are experiencing an 82% retention rate. Team members from Emporia:

One of the bright spots on the team so far this year is the play of the defense. The team will continue to build on this success and improve.
